[Python] Quickly + pyWetter

bin vor ein paar Tagen auf quickly gestoßen. Das ganze ist ne Art Framework was Leute unterstützen/motivieren soll für Ubuntu Programme zu schreiben. Wie im Titel ersichtlich läuft das ganze standardmäßig mit Python und dazu Glade (also GTK) und Bazaar. Letztlich bündelt es wohl nur Routineaufgaben, die sich über Templates aber auch verändern lassen, sodass man das ganze sicherlich auf SVN oder so umbiegen könnte, womit ich mich aber nicht beschäftigt habe, da es mir an sich egal ist. Das was machts, machts nämlich gut! :)
Ich skizziere mal fix, wie so der Ablauf aussieht:
nachdem man sich's installiert hat kann man ein Projekt erstellen mittels:
$ quickly create ubuntu-project deinProjekt
Das ganze erstellt einen Ordner mit allen wichtigen Dingen und LÄUFT BEREITS! Aus dem Ordner heraus kann man nun mit Quickly arbeiten. Um an der grafischen Oberfläche zu arbeiten genügt:
$ quickly glade
Und shocn sind alle Dialoge und Fenster in Glade geöffnet, die Quickly mitbringt. Das nimmt einem ne Menge arbeit ab!
$ quickly edit
Ruft den Standard-Texteditor auf, wo auch gleich alle relevanten Skripte geöffnet werden. Per:
$ quickly run
lässt sich nun das Programm starten. Hat man noch nix verändert wird man von einem fetten Ubuntulogo begrüßt ;-)
Das tolle wie ich finde ist, dass man sich nicht mit dem ganzen Blödsinn abplagen muss um erstmal ein Fenster zu bekommen, sondern man kann gleich loslegen sein Programm zu schreiben. Quickly bringt auch gleich ein Tutorial mit, das sich per:
$ quickly tutorial ubuntu-project
öffnen lässt (im Browser mit Bildern!)
Hab weils mich interessierte mal fix ne kleine Anwendung gebastelt, die das aktuelle Wetter von wetter.com für einen beliebigen Ort holt. Entwicklungszeit: ca. 1-2 Stunden. Dauerte aber nur so lange weil ich mich n bissl in den GTK Krams und die wetter.com API einlesen musste. Finds aber erstaunlich wie schnell da Ergebnisse entstehen. Einfach entpacken, rein "cden" und 'quickly run' ausführen.
Am Ende lässt sich der Spaß auch recht fix für Ubuntu in ein Package schieben, damit hab ich mich aber ebenso noch nicht beschäftigt. Auf jeden Fall ne tolle Sache wie ich finde!
